The Snow Santa Brought

While we were visiting Mawmaw's for Christmas, it snowed the most beautiful snow.
Learning to make snow angels for the first time.

Those that know me, know I create yearly photo books for Davis.  This is one I thought would capture the year and moment without having to write out the words in the book.

To some this may not mean much.  But to me it has two special memories captured.  1.  Davis saw icicles for the first time.  2.  My Daddy's truck.

Oh Zoe bear wasn't too fond of the snow.  We had to take her back in the house.

This was our view the whole way home to Wilmington.  Until we reached where Hwy 17 meets Hwy 74.  Then there was nothing.
Davis likes to refer to this snow as the "Snow that Santa Brought.".  Just as magical as the ole jolly man himself.

Christmas Recap

Just thought I would share some Christmas pictures.
Christmas Morn ...

(Can't forget the princess.)
(Used the timer on the camera for the first time.)

Christmas Eve at Gigi and Granddaddy's ...

Christmas Day at MawMaw's...

(One guess on who gave him a BIG Pez dispenser?)
(Family.  I am amazed at how my family has grown.  The babes are no longer babes, but teenagers and young adults.  My how time flies.)

We had an absolutely magical Christmas.

Jingle Bells

Last Friday was Davis' Christmas party at school.  They sang Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Rainbow Colors song.  It was really, really cute.  He was so excited to see us there and so proud to sing for us.

Here he is with his buddies, Alex and Richard.  These three are inseparable and have been so for almost 2 years now.
Can you tell how much we love this little boy!?!

This little boy that makes our heart swell with happiness and pride...

Birthday Celebration

I know, I know, it is almost Christmas and I am just now posting Davis' birthday pictures.  It has been a little crazy around here lately.  Better late than never....
It is a lot of work planning and preparing for little ones birthday parties.  I told a friend it is a lot like planning for a wedding.  There are months and months of work and then it is all over in just a few hours.  But when Davis told me it was the best birthday party in the whole wide world, it was worth it.  :o)  Granted he is saying that for everything these days.  Like, I am the best Mommy in the whole wide world.  Well, we knew that now didn't we?!
Davis you are the best Son in the whole wide world!  We love you more than words or pictures can express.

Our Little Buzz

Davis loves Toy Story so it was only fitting that he dressed as Buzz Lightyear for Halloween.
Trick or Treating at Gigi and Granddaddy's.
Our final stop was at Mrs Donna and Mr Mark's.

You have to see the wings in action.  Davis loves these wings.

The Pumpkin Patch

I am a little behind in my posts and have so much to share.  I'll start with our recent trip to the farm and pumpkin patch.
The first time I went to Mike's Farm, it was the year Chris and I were engaged and we went with some friends.  I fell in love!  It was my breath of country that I had been missing.  This place is literally out in the middle of nowhere, Back Swamp, NC.
We have only missed one year since then.  It truly is a magical place.  I would recommend it to anyone.
On our way to the pumpkin patch!

Looking for the perfect pumpkin with Daddy...
Found it!
While waiting to eat (the wait was 3 hours, if that tells you how popular this place is) we checked out some of the animals around the farm.
This is Pedro and Petey.

Then Davis showed off his dancing skills.

We had a great time and I look forward to this being a tradition with our family for years to come.
