Don't Feed the Gators

Since we were home bound for much of the end of last week and weekend, by Sunday we were ready to get out of the house.  So, we went for a ride.
There's this special place that Chris and I used to go to a lot when I was pregnant and just wanting to get out of the house.
The Gator Swamp.

Davis LOVED it!  But, he was probably the most excited about seeing this little guy.

I got out and opened the door right next to him so he could see him.  That was probably his highlight.  It is so peaceful back in there.  The land is still very natural and untouched.  I even saw a wild turkey.  We tried to go back and see him but we couldn't.  We could hear him running through the leaves in the woods and then he gave us a big "Get away from here!" gobble.  So we moved on.

Sick Baby

Last Wednesday I got the dreaded call from school, Davis just woke up from nap with a fever.  Poor thing was pitiful.
He ran a fever for about 4 days and just as soon as it was over this showed up...

It really seemed worse Sunday, so we went to Medac and the doctor was not sure what it was and suggested we followed up with our Pediatrician.  First thing Monday morning we were at the Doctor.  He seemed to think it was a viral thing and not to worry.  It began to fade out and little man is back to normal.

Red Petunias

A couple of weekends ago we did a little yard work and set out some flowers.  Davis had made comments that we didn't have any flowers yet, so we got busy.

I always seem to flip flop on my flower selection and color each year.  One year I had hot pink petunias, another was red and pink Gerber daisies, another was red geraniums.  This year is the year of the ....
red petunia.
