The moments that make you realize…

Davis had a check-up at the dentist this morning. He has been two times prior for checkups, but today was the first day in the ‘big boy’ chair with the ‘big boy’ instruments. I wasn’t sure how he would respond to this, but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. He was beautiful. He would do his ‘I’m not trying to grin’ face when the girl would try and make him laugh; opened his mouth just as wide as could be. She did the whole works and he never even flinched. This was definitely one of those times that I sat back and realized….

My baby isn’t a baby anymore. He is growing up, doing big boy things and acting as a well-behaved boy should. I was so proud. I watched as the hygienist wrote notes in his file on the computer and saw “Davis did EXCELLENT in the ‘big boy’ chair.” If I was a peacock my feathers would have spread across the room. That’s my boy!

Our Photo Shoot

This is something I have been wanting to do for awhile now.  It seems like when Davis was a baby we were taking pictures everyday.  Trying to capture those little moments before they slipped away.  As the time goes by the pictures are not as often.  Last weekend the weather was absolutely beautiful, so we grabbed the camera and ventured out.
The location was just up the road on the intracoastal waterway.

Fur and Feathers

Recently we celebrated little Madeline's birthday.  Davis had a blast.
Here's little man with the birthday girl.
She had a petting zoo and pony at the party.

There was a goose, duck, chicken, pot-belly pig, turtle and
a rabbit.
The neat thing about the animals, is they were all rescues.  It's great to see them having a second chance while letting little ones experience their beauty.
Getting some attention from the girlies.
His first pony ride on Snowball.
Davis does this little thing with his mouth when he is super excited.  I think he is trying to hold back his grin.  It is really cute.  Needless to say he was excited here and doing the mouth trick.
We had such a great time and I know Davis loved it.

Riding off into the sunset.
