Lately, pretty much the same ole routine. You know, we all have them. Davis is changing more and more to a little boy. The baby has slipped through my fingers. [sniff, sniff] But I love him beyond all measures. He is the sweetest child. I know I may be biased, but it has been confirmed by others as well. He will randomly say, "Momma, I love you." or "Daddy, you are the best Daddy in the whole world." With those words we soar. The other morning, one of his teachers told me he is such a good child and doing so well. That he was more ready for kindergarten than some of the ones that are old enough to go now. Of course, I knew these things but it does make a mother proud to hear someone (not biased) say it as well.
A tidbit I wanted to jot down before it gets lost in time. Lately we have started taking a somewhat "country" road to school. On this road, just so happens to be a small farm with Llamas. We stop every morning, unless there is car behind us, roll down the window and listen and watch. Davis absolutely loves it. Some mornings they are just grazing about on the grass, others they are still nestled in the shed and some special days we get to see the "farmer" pouring feed into their troughs. Such a special treat.
