Into the Deep

Today we went down to Myrtle Beach and visited Ripley's Believe it or Not Aquarium. 

It had some interesting looking creatures.

This is some kind of Seahorse.  Lettuce or Weed Seahorse.

I thought Davis might be a little afraid of going in there with the sharks.  But, he wasn't.  He was very fascinated by them and all their teeth.

Reaching New Heights

First of all, I would like to say there is absolutely no way I would have done this as a child.  This thing seemed huge to me, I can only imagine how big it seemed to Davis.

He wasn't quite sure about it at first.  He wanted to go up it, but each time he would get half way up and turn around and come back down.  But then...

he did it!!!!

A couple of weeks ago Uncle David, Aunt Lori, Ryne and Emily came to visit.  And that means lots of ball playing.

This is his bat Uncle David gave him that is just like Cousin Ryne's.  Look out Ryne, I predict your high school record might be shattered by this little guy.  :o)

Sweet Summertime

We went back to my hometown this weekend for a cousin's wedding.

Little man ended up sleeping through the entire ceremony, which was fine with me.  It prevented him from having a meltdown later.

Back at MawMaw's after the wedding, Davis got to try out his new rain boots. 

The next morning we ventured out to the park.  We try and do this each time we go to MawMaw's.  Davis loves to feed the ducks and fish.

But, I would have to say the most exciting part of this trip was ...

the cows.

These belong to a neighbor and happened to be standing by the side of the road, waiting on breakfast probably.  So, we pulled over.  Davis loved it.  He would just cackle when the cows mooed back at us.  Needless to say, we had a great time at MawMaw's and I love being able to share some of the "country life" with my baby.

PEZ

How exciting to come home from school and have a present waiting on you?!

Look what Uncle David sent!  Davis was soooooo excited.  New additions to his PEZ collection.  This is something special that Uncle David started at Ryne's baseball games.  Each game we went to, he would have a surprise for Davis.

SoccerRoos

This post is a little late, considering SoccerRoos is over... for now. 

Our first day we weren't sure if we were going to go to the next class.  Davis was timid and just not really sure of all of this.

but, we went back...

(blurry, I know, but you get the idea)

he LOVES it!

He learned where the "sweet spot" is, how to trap the ball and met new friends.  His favorite thing to do was run.  The coach would do drills with all the kids running from goal to goal.  He LOVED it!  We are planning on going back, but probably in the winter when it is a little bit cooler.
