Hit the Ball Ryne!

Warmer weather came to visit for a couple of days and we ventured out to see cousin Ryne "hit the ball".  Davis had a blast hollaring at the "ballplayers".
Uncle David always gets him pumped up with some candy.
Davis with his Idol.
(Yep, that's a carrot bat.  We have a pea ball to go with it.)
Future "baseball player".

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish ...

...Blue Frog?
We recently went to the Fort Fisher Aquarium for the annual ...

This is our second year going.  Each year Davis becomes interested in different things.  Last year he was all about the fish.  This year it was the alligators and turtles.
(I like this picture.  You can see all of us in the reflection on the glass.)
The aquarium has a new baby albino alligator named Luna.  Davis really liked him because he was still small.
(can you see him?)
Here we are checking out one of the turtles.
More turtles... this was an area where you could go in and touch the turtles.  Yes, we both touched some.  I think this might have been our favorite part.
Other things we saw
Nemo!
They were having a diving demonstration with how they clean and feed the fish.
One of the divers saw us looking and came up to the window to say "Hello".  Davis was a little unsure about this character.
The Seahorses!  I really enjoyed this.  They had new baby Seahorses.  They were so cute.
Look!  They were holding tails just like little kids would hold hands!  Precious!
We had a great day!
I look forward to next year!

Cool Tricks

Here is Davis demonstrating his new trick.  I had no idea he could do this until the other night at Gigi and DaDaddy's.
Getting Ready....
Steady.....
TA DA!!!!!
The cutest thing ever!  He could just stick it there and it would stay forever!  So funny.  He is so precious!

Momma or Davis?

The snow started last night around 8.  When I opened the back door to take pictures of the first flakes falling you immediately heard squeals of delight throughout the neighborhood.  Now, remember this is around 8:30 at night and most little children should be well into their bedtime routine.  Not our neighborhood, not tonight.  It was snowing!  This was probably the first time these little ones had even seen the white stuff, it was magic.  So, as my little one lay sleeping, God's hand was gently creating this amazing scene.

As soon as he awoke this morning I asked him if he wanted to see the snow.  With an enthusiastic "Yeah!" he jumps out of bed.  When he looks out the backdoor, his word, "WOW!"  Mine too son, mine too.   We eat breakfast and of course had to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse first, then headed out.
His first encounter of the snow.
We made a snow man and MawMaw helped.
This was our sport theme snowman.  Tennis ball buttons, plastic golf ball nose and one of Daddy's old golf hats.
Here is Daddy making snowballs for Davis to throw at Momma.
Our happy family with our new found friend.
What a wonderful day we had.  My question to you is, "Who had more fun, Momma or Davis?"
