Show Davis a baseball, bat or glove and the first words out of his mouth will be "Ryne hit the ball!" He loves his cousin Ryne and loves watching him play the sport even more. He has seen several of his games, including the NC State Championship game, and with the upcoming season quickly approaching many more in store for him. You know the love is mutual, when Davis asks Ryne to kiss his feet and Ryne says "Only for you little buddy." and kisses his feet. The reason I am adding this post is to celebrate Ryne being inducted into the "Wall of Fame". We love you Ryne and are so very proud of you!

My Son, My Life, My Love

This week has been a difficult week around the Croom household. Davis has been terribly sick with a high fever and cough. I took him to the dr on Wednesday but it was within the "3 day fever" waiting period. The doctor ran a couple of tests which all came back negative. He suggested that I wait it out until Friday and if the fever persisted to go ahead and have chest xrays done. Right up until last night at 2am I felt like that was what we were going to have to do. But, today the fever has come down. It is staying around 99/100, no where near the 103/104 he had been having. So, hopefully he is coming out of it. To add to all the stress, it has been a difficult week at work for myself. With a deadline quickly approaching and one of the most difficult systems I had ever worked on, I faced the position no Mother ever wants to be in. Family vs. Career. Needless to say I am exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally. There is no burden too heavy to carry for him. He is my son, my life and my love.
